Eddie, Dan, and I met with a couple guys who are going to be working on sports with the kids for the summer program this morning. I was not able to actively participate in the meeting being that I really could not understand. I am getting more frustrated by the day with my lack of language, and yet, I am not really forcing myself to study at night before I go to bed. I need to do that. Mom, yell at me about good study habits.
Anyway, this is what my summer schedule will look like:
8:00-9:00 Teach English class with Dan
9:00-10:00 Arts and Crafts with younger kids (this is hopefully going to be a beautification project of the farm. For instance, painting rocks to lay around the outside of the garden. Painting signs to label different places and things. The labels will be in English, French, and Creole)
10:00-11:00 Work with the Artists
Late afternoon- time TBA- Basketball! Hahaha. This is going to be funny, but I am going to be working with the kids on teaching them basketball! Bet you can't wait to hear how that goes- especially since there is no court!
This is going to be starting within the next couple of days. I am pretty excited about it!
Hey Paige! I was just on the computer downloading music, and decided to stop by your blog and post you a comment. To answer your question to the comment you replied to me: I was thinking about making my name Will, but then I decided that it would be better to just use my real name. I didn't want to confuse people to much, so I am just going to use Will as my sign off name everytime I am done writing a comment. Because after all, Will IS a boy's name. But I like how you gave me a nickname, it makes me feel special.
ReplyDeleteHow come you never call me?? It makes me sad, because I miss hearing your voice. :( I know you made a blog to communicate with people online, but still. It's not the same as actually HEARING your voice. So please please give me a call whenever you can, okay? It would be great to hear from you PHONE WISE every now and then. :)
You know my friend Kyle? The one who you met on my birthday? He invited me to go to Vegas with him on the week of fourth of July. I really want to go, and everyone thinks it will be a great experience for me. But mom and dad still have to think about it. I need to prove to them I can act like an "adult" by doing my chores, not complaining, etc. Mom just taught me how to do the dishes today, it's a real pain in the butt. Now I see why you and Lynne always used to fight over who should do the dishes, lol. Anyway. I want your opinion on this vegas thing. Do you think I should be go? Lynne went snowboarding with Dallas when she was my age, so I don't see why I wouldn't be able to go to Vegas with Kyle. Anyway. I don't want to make this too long, actually let me rephrase that. I don't want to make this LONGER then I intened too, so I should probably end this right here. I just wanted to stop by and show you some love, and let you know that I am thinking about you and so is Sammy! :)
I am serious about you calling me every once and a while, it would be nice.
Love always, Will.
PS. Glad you are having a good time in Haiti! I miss you!!
Paige,
ReplyDeleteDennis and I are enjoying reading your blog. You are doing so many wonderful things, we are so proud of you. :-)
It is hot here...
Hugs...Cynthia & Dennis
hi will,
ReplyDeletei think it would be fun for you to do that, but i think that since you JUST learned to do the dishes, you can't really compare yourself to lynne. :) the big sister in me says, "no way." because i would worry about you too much. but, whatever mom and dad decide, i support them.
i will try calling you, but it is expensive, why don't you call me...mom and dad have the phone number. it is cheaper for you to dial me than visa versa.
i miss you william.
