Let's Go Fly a Kite!
A few days ago, a group of children, Portia and I utilized the wind that has been bringing in fabulous rain storms by flying Portia's kite. We had a great time. Jean Robert deemed himself "official kite flyer".
So...are you tired of the rain yet? Or do you love it? I was talking to Jason about the rain in Haiti and he said "That's all it did when I was there, rain, rain, rain!" =) He was in Haiti years ago for the Army for a long while, so he "fills" me in on the weather and bugs and stuff..=) I am sure you adjust to it once you have been there awhile. Hope everything is going well- How are you doing? I will be sending you some pictures very soon of Emilee and Kameryn. I had a very emotional day yesterday because I took Kameryn to her first day of Kindergarten! She was ready to go and didn't have any problems at all (little miss independent girl) but I had a hard time knowing that my baby was now in school !!! Ahhh. Take care of you- Love ya lots- Katee
Thank you Paige for this beautiful photo where I can see the head of a pretty woman, who seems to be Portia, flying a kite (cerf-volant in French, kap in Creole). It appears that she is probably left-handed. I see that you have a lot of fun in Les Cayes region.
Did you try to fly a very big kite known as a "grandou" in Creole ?
