Choupy's Art Class

The art class Choupy began at the beginning of the summer for the younger children ended this week. With a big smile and a great amount of pride, Choupy brought his students' work to show me. All of the papers were graded. He also came with a request for a small candy treat as a reward to his students for their participation and hard work throughout the summer.

Here are a few examples of some of the pictures the kids were assigned to do over the course of the summer. (Notice the grade in green pen in the corner of each picture.)

  1. I can see the green blob....but what kind of a grade is it exactly....a percentage or a letter or a comment??

It is so wonderful that the children had such a class offered to them to keep them happy during the summer.

  2. its a 10/10 or a 7/10. it doesnt mean anything, its just cute that he did it. this morning he was presented with a certificate for his hard work, and father marc asked him if he would like to be an apprentice to me to keep a class for the little children going. he looked like he was going to cry- he was so happy. he is 18 and not going to school anymore because it is too hard for him (he was only in the 2nd grade), so for him to have something he loves doing, and the children love him, it is great. it made my heart happy to see his face this morning.
